Role Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled AWS Solutions Architect with a passion for crafting distributed workloads and a deep understanding of cloud-native principles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, a strong background in security practices, and the ability to thrive in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement solutions with distributed workloads in AWS, leveraging services such as AWS Serverless/Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, S3, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, and either Python or Go.
• Prioritize security in all aspects of solution development and deployment, while actively contributing to an agile team by documenting architecture decisions and code.
• Take ownership of ideas from inception to delivery, ensuring end-to-end success.
• Apply knowledge of 12-Factor, Cloud Native, and Observability design principles to optimize solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, utilizing tools like Jira for project management.

Requirements:

• Concrete experience in creating solutions with distributed workloads in AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS Serverless/Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, S3, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, and either Python or Go.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Comfortable working within an agile team and documenting architecture decisions and code.
• Familiarity with 12-Factor, Cloud Native, and Observability design principles.
• On-shore position in Belgium, so applications abroad will be declined
• Fluent in Dutch and English

Good to Have:

• Experience with API Gateway and Observability tools.
• Proficiency with Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Exposure to Snowflake, Postgresql, or other RDBMS.
• Familiarity with custom instrumentation code using X-Ray.
• Understanding of Machine Learning concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Relevant certifications in AWS or related fields.
